MEET THE CREATOR

Eric Katz - Creator/Writer

So during a pandemic lockdown, a move into a new house and a layoff, I started diving back into my comic collection which is mostly from my pre-teen years.
Revisiting the stories and characters I had read and re-read many times got me thinking. For 2021, what if I created an ongoing comic book. I already had a story I wanted to tell and why not try it in a medium I've always appreciated.
Here begins a journey, one seeped in new characters, art, self marketing, inks, stepping out of the comfort zone, making new connections, getting the occasional fan, more art and some moments where readers say "WTF, I did not see that coming!"

I have read both of issues of The Rising that are available right now, and it's such a great story! The characters are nuanced and interesting, and you can tell that there are vast storylines that are going to be developed over the coming issues. The art is fantastic and I absolutely LOVE the narrator! Eric has created such a rich world for the reader to be immersed in. Definitely recommend!
